Post-doctoral researchers

  • Martijn Lenes, PhD from the University of Groningen, worked from 01/01/2009 to 30/04/2011. He worked on modeling of opto-electronic devices, in particular ion assisted light-emitting diodes and solar cells. After Valencia he joined Tempress BV in the Netherlands to lead one of their product development teams.
  • Vladimir Chyrvony, PhD from the Instituto de Física de Academia de Ciencias of Bielorrusia, Minsk, worked from 16/06/2016 to 16/01/2017 and from 16/02/2018 to 17/07/2018. He specialized on steady-state and time-resolved photoluminescence characterization of lead halide perovskite thin films and nanocrystals. In particular he developped a model for delayed luminescence in the latter (V. Chirvony et al., “Delayed Luminescence in Lead Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals”, J. Phys. Chem. C, 121, 13381-13390; 2017)..
  • Pablo P. Boix, PhD from the University Jaume I, worked at MOED group as a post-doctoral researcher from 01/01/2017 to 31/08/2019. He supervised several PhD students focussing on perovskite photovoltaic devices and physical characterization thereof by means of optical and impedance spectroscopies. In 2019 Pablo joined the University Institute of Material Science (ICMUV) of the University of Valencia where he continues his research on perovskite photovoltaics.
  • Francisco Palazon, PhD from the Université de Lyon, France, worked at MOED as Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellow and Juan de la Cierva – incorporación Fellow from 01/01/2018 to 31/12/2021. He supervised the PhD of Yousra El Ajjouri on “Solid state mechanochemical synthesis of multinary metal halide semiconductors for optoelectronics: from powder to thin film”. In 2021 Francisco received a Ramón y Cajal Fellowship and moved to the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena in 2022. He remained nevertheless a close collaborator and visiting fellow at MOED for the first half of 2022, co-supervising the ongoing PhD of Paz Sebastiá Luna.
